Summer Camp Season

As the weather gets warmer, days get longer and Children are anticipating the last day of school, parents are wondering what to do to keep the children busy and engaged this summer.

Did you know that on average 60-73% of elementary school students lose group in reading during the summer months? That figure is higher when it comes to math.

Many think of longer, lazy days, sleeping in, playing outside and just having fun. However our children can still experience a fun summer while also staying connected to basic math and reading skills gained during the school year.

This year as you consider summer activities for your family, look into camps that offer elements that with structured learning. These activities keep students minds active, while hands on activities helps raise curiosity and can help improve retention.

Our Summer Enrichment and Exposure Camp has all of the elements required to make for an enjoyable summer experience. Activities involving not only chess, but STEAM, Writing, Leadership and Teamwork Workshops. Participants will learn how to play chess, write chess notations, build a robot powered by solar and so much more. This summer consider sending your child to the Board Room Chess ' summer exposure camp.

Camp runs July 7th through August 8th from 8 to 3:30 and is free, with the exception registration which is $50. Extended care is available at a fee.

This camp is made possible through grants provided by our funder BCYF's (Baltimore Children and Youth Fund) investment in the Summer Funding Collaborative.
